More J-pop news on the go!

感情: refreshed *just finished my bath*
音楽: "Wonder Wind" - ELISA

First of all, Kaorin's mini-album has now a title. Although I'm a bit late for this new but it is entitled SPYGLASS. YES WITH THE USUAL CAPS! 8DD It will be a 7-track mini-album which will contain her first two singles Shining stars bless and Chasse.

Then let's go to Eiko's upcoming single Super scription of data. The coupling song and their song lengths has now been revealed! xD c/o Jbook.

My impression? I think the coupling song would be able to save our dearest poor-sounding-chorus single. xD electric universe sounds like it's going to be a trance-y and powerful one! So don't you fail me SORMA! Give more power just like you did with OXISOLS! XDD *bricked*

Then here comes the upcoming Kalafina 5th single. :D

Side comment: I'm loving storia!! It's so classy compared to their neoclassical song Lacrimosa but I love both song. :D

Oh and it just came to me that ALI PROJECT will also do the OP2 for previous tie-up Phantom ~Requiem for the Phantom~ and they will release another album!!! Here are the details. XD

more Chikai single information

感情: hungry~~
音楽: "Chikai" - Eiko Shimamiya

Kyaah~ it's about time I had the Chikai single. I've been waiting for this the last few days.

If you want to download the single and read my short sentiments about it, go here at our LJ community.

About the Oricon daily, don't ask. It's flopping a bit probably because of lack of promotions of the single. Haven't seen a 15sec. CM uploaded somewhere plus the people at IMS only uploaded it today (or last night?). Here is the current position of the single...

19 -- Wednesday
↓29 -- Thursday
↓39 -- Friday
↑35 -- Saturday

OoOh it's really flopping. I'm having a hunch it'll only position itself lower than #30 this coming Wednesday. ~~

Chikai preview and UTD -remix- up!

感情: a bit tense
音楽: "Chikai (preview)" - Eiko Shimamiya

Powered by Podbean.com

I already had my under the darkness -Remix- last night but due to lack of time, I wasn't able to upload it.

I like Chikai because it's more lively than WHEEL OF FORTUNE. I admit the latter is good but I'd say I love Chikai more. I wonder how SORMA No.1 will do OXISOLS. under the darkness -Remix- also sounds good though I still the original version but what I like about this remix is its very much trancier than the original.

Oh yeah, I'm a bit tensed because my parents already knew of my secret. x__X' As usual, my mother's ok with it but NOT my father. I'll be preparing my ears tomorrow for some showering of *bleep* words that will surely lower my self-esteem but I'll endure it. And I can't promise I'll be posting more because of this problem. So if I weren't able to post in the next few days, you already know it.

HYDIAN WAY (w/ vocals)

Although the pitch for the instrumental (which was released way earlier) than this one but definitely it does sound better with the vocals. And it even got longer! From 5:48 instrumental it became 6:53 w/ vocals! xDD;; Uplifting and cheerful than See You ~Chiisana Eien~ and as much as I expect it, Tenjou wo Kakeru Monotachi was still much better. I assume KOTOKO did the lyrics for this one.

Random I've Sound trivias/facts

感情: hungry
音楽: "Kopperia no Hitsugi" - ALI PROJECT

DISCLAIMER: This post doesn't contain ALL trivias/facts regarding I've Sound. I'm just going to post the facts that I only know. If there are infos that I don't know or you would like to add, please inform me! :D I'd be more than happy if you enlighten me with more infos plus I'll credit you. xD

Now, let's start!

DID YOU KNOW THAT...

1. the most highest first-week sales of I've Sound single is 25,499 copies? Which is KOTOKO's 2nd single Re-sublimity while the single with the weakest first-week sales is MELL's 4th single KILL with only 2,664 copies sold.

2. the I've single with the longest charting week is Eiko Shimamiya's debut single Higurashi no Naku Koro ni? It charted for 26 weeks. While the shortest charting week is still MELL's 4th single KILL which only stayed at the Oricon top 200 charts for only 2 weeks.

3. the most successful (I meant highest ranking, not highest sales) I've single ever released was KOTOKO's 5th single being which garnered the #4 spot on its first week. Although that was the case, did you know that the least successful I've single as of now is also by KOTOKO? And it's her recent released sleepy single U Make Ai Dream which only debuted at #46. (But if we're talking about an "all-time" single, the lowest will be Shooting Star at #62).

4. the longest I've Sound song of all time is Eiko Shimamiya's Sukarabe no Inori -Brown Sugar Style- from her EP hologram. It's length is 8:51. But if we're talking about an original song (meaning it's not a remix), the longest would be Eiko Shimamiya's O with a length of 8:03. Despite the shortest title I've had came up, it holds the longest non-remix song of all time. While the shortest song would be Mami Kawada's 4th single Get my way! with a length of 2:56.

5. the longest original title (meaning there's no  "-Remix-" or any other name of a person who remixed it or whatsoever) that I've made was KOTOKO's song Mighty Heart ~Aru Hi no Kenka, Itsumo no Koigokoro~ with 40 letters on it (special/punctuational characters not included) while the shortest title is Eiko Shimamiya's O.

6. I've Sound's first movie/live-action tie-in was Real Onigokko? The song made for the said movie was performed by KOTOKO with the same title as the movie.

7. that the first I've girl was actually MELL and not KOTOKOMELL and I've Sound King Kazuya Takase are already acquainted with each other even before I've was created. However, at that time, MELL is still using her pseudonym Orihime and it was changed to MELL when I've was formed way back 1998. And according to an interview when MELL will be guesting at a concert in Texas a few years ago, it was actually Takase who gave her the name MELL which came from her pet dog named Mellmo. She asked why gave that name but Takase just persisted it and unbelievably, she used it! Until right now, her real name is still a mystery.

8. I've Sound girls had a rather "private" profile? Speaking of mysteries, their real names were never revealed and even their birth years. What's with the hiding of personal information?

9. the first I've girl to sign into a recording label was actually KOTOKO and not MELL? KOTOKO was the first to sign a recording contract to Geneon on 2004, followed by Mami Kawada (2005), Eiko Shimamiya (2006), MELL (2006), and Kaori Utatsuki (2007). Although the same year, Eiko Shimamiya was still the first to sign since her debut single Higurashi no Naku Koro ni was released 3 weeks before MELL's debut single Red fraction.

10. the most successful and highest selling I've Sound album of all time was KOTOKO's 2nd album Garasu no Kaze? It garnered the #6 position and had a total sales of approximately 48,000 copies. The least successful and least sold album was Eiko Shimamiya's 2nd album Hikari Nadeshiko. It only reached #27 and sold only 7,333 copies.

11. the I've girl who has the most multiple tie-in of only one series was Eiko Shimamiya? From her debut album to her future 5th single, it is all tie-in with Higurashi no Naku Koro ni series.

12. (c/o KuroiYuki88) according to their official profile in Geneon's website, the tallest member of Love Planet Five is Mami Kawada with 158cm (some says its 159cm) height, and the shortest is KOTOKO with 150cm. However, recently KOTOKO wrote in her blog, saying that she grew 2cm taller than the official one. So if we count this as true, then Kaori Utatsuki will be the shortest member with 151cm.

13. Madonna is actually one of MELL's idols (according to the same interview mentioned above) that's why if you see the Promotional Video (PV) for no vain, it's somewhat similar to Madonna's video for Frozen. Similar location, same color setting, similar clothing etc.

Hmm this is all that I can think of right now. I'll add up if something comes up from my mind squeezing. XP nyahaha!

Super scription of data (TV size) up!

感情: my head hurts yet feeling energetic
音楽: "Naraku no Hana" - Eiko Shimamiya

Super scription of data is now available -- for listening. XD Sorry if I was kinda late. I just returned to reality and I was out for the last 3 days.

Credits:
Lyrics: Eiko Shimamiya
Composition/Arrangement: Kazuya Takase

When I heard the preview, I was really damn sure that Takase will be the one doing the composition and arrangement. The usage of electric guitars were identical to his likings plus the intro was somewhat striking and unique. I like it but really don't like the chorus part. Hopefully the long version will be much better.

The long version will be out next week --- February 25. And for those who don't know, this will be the OP theme for Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Rei (lit. When the Cicadas Cry Solutions).

感情: sleepy
音楽: "Red fraction" - MELL

Here's a preview for Eiko Shimamiya's Super scription of data which will be released on February 25, 2009 -- which is the date for the telecast of Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Rei. Still no credits for the song. Nothing really special but at least it's still decent and lightly-tuned. It's still filled with electric guitars so I'm hunching Kazuya Takase will produce this one.

I'm more excited on the preview for Chikai. xD Oh and please bear with the noise. I just ripped it. XP

For Eiko Shimamiya

sentiment: frustrated

Kyaaahh! I haven't been posting RL stuffs lately because I don't feel like posting one when I'm not in front of my own PC. o_o But I'll be posting one when my PC got fixed, I promise! XD Now enough enough of these ranting, I'm straying off from the topic. XP

Eiko Shimamiya's album cover for her 2nd studio album entitled "Hikari Nadeshiko" is now up and thanks to amazon! XD My one and only source. xP

Hikari Nadeshiko cover

Wow, I've has been in-touched with plants/trees lately. XD But according to some sources, "Nadeshiko" is some kind of a plant so this has no special surprise for me. I'm just glad that the cover is up and I've been monitoring amazon lately for this. xP But "Savia" is a plant as well, why is it a wheel of paper with some aluminun wires? Don't ask me for this! XP *gets shot* But wait... it's... blue?! It's deserted, nee? But if you look at it, I'm assuming that her Naraku no Hana song will be having the PV for this album! Is the abyss really blue? Or is it red? (Whatever...) But it seems a little deserted and no oasis could be found and the view of the sun is enlightening. I like the cover. xP

Oh and the font for the album title! It's Edwardian Script! XP It has been used by Mami Kawada's 3rd single Akai Namida/Beehive! Haha! Oh well enough pointing out.

More from Mami & Eiko

sentiment: happy/excited
harmony: "Light colors" by Lia

I know I'm already late to post this but Mami Kawada and Eiko Shimamiya's second album from I've Sound and Geneon already has a title! Mami's 2nd album is SAVIA which is a plant genus (according to good ol' Wiki) and it's quite connected with her debut album SEED. As much as I'm expecting, I think there will be a song entitled "Savia" on that album that can have the PV but it's just a premonition, I'm still not very sure but probably that's what going to happen. And lastly, it scopes her 3 latest singles which are Akai Namida/Beehive, Get my way!, and the epic win single JOINT. I think it's already been an SOP that a studio album covers 3 singles like SEED (which covers radiance, Hishoku no Sora
, and Face of Fact -RESOLUTION ver.- although the last single mentioned was a collaboration single with KOTOKO) but that's from almost all J-pop artist that I know except for Eiko Shimamiya who is just covering 1 single per album.

Eiko Shimamiya's 2nd album will be entitled "Hikari Nadeshiko" and it will be the second time (on her history) that her album only covers one single. If her album O has only the Higurashi no Naku Koro ni single, Hikari Nadeshiko will be only having her most successful single (to date) which is Naraku no Hana. And there is a high possibility that the said song will have the PV for the album (just like in the case of O album). I'm not looking forward much to this album since she didn't release H-game songs nor single [WHEEL OF FORTUNE (Unmei no Wa)'s release date is still indefinite] so definitely there will be new songs, new remixes (of older songs from her EP/mini-albums) most probably, or worst, simply repetition of songs (from her previous releases). But I still have high hopes for this one.

New Albums coming up

sentiment: excited! XD
harmony: "a piacere" by KOTOKO

It has just been announced at I've Sound forum that Mami Kawada and Eiko Shimamiya will be releasing their 2nd full albums this 2008! I thought so. XD As of now, there are still not much details available but all I know is that Mami Kawada's album will be released on March 26, 2008 and Eiko's album will be a week after, April 2, 2008. XD

Yay! After exactly 2 years, Mami Kawada will be releasing a new album. XD But I still don't know the album title. I hope it's something "attractive" to the ear and new to the eyes. xD Although I'm more excited for Mami Kawada, nonetheless, I'll still expect something for Eiko's album because as you know, she doesn't have much promotions lately. Last year, it was a bit drastic year for her because aside from little eroge theme songs to perform, she was only able to release one maxi single of her own which is Naraku no Hana. No more, no less. x__X And what's worse, it doesn't even have a PV nor a DVD edition containing it's PV. o_O

Wow I'll be more excited when March comes. xD KOTOKO's 11th single BLAZE (2nd Opening Theme for Shakugan no Shana II) is scheduled on March 12, 2008 which makes this the 2nd tie-in with Shakugan no Shana series. And take another note, being single was also released March 2006 which is a bit near to her upcoming single. Even Mami's SEED album, it was released 29th March, 2006 and her second album will be released 26th March. xD

It should be take noted that the catalog number for KOTOKO's BLAZE is now GNCV-0001 (for regular edition) and GNCV-0002 (for regular edition+DVD). Her last single was GNCA-0071/GNCA-0072. I don't know exactly what it means but it looks like Mami Kawada and Eiko Shimamiya's album catalog number will also start with GNCV, I think. xD

The Wheel of Fate..erm, Fortune

sentiment: sleepy
harmony: "Wheel of Fortune (short ver.)" by Eiko Shimamiya

Get this widget Track details eSnips Social DNA

Actually I found this a few days ago but I can't find the right timing to post this because I was kinda busy with the game called "life". I have to deal friggin' loads of homeworks and case studies and I have to finish them that instant and I have to pull an all-nighter so that I could finish those. *sips coffee* And now is the last round of the all-nighter but I can't keep myself away from my blog so I'm gonna post it now.

And another trivia, how did I find this song? Since the information about this single rather difficult to decipher and availability of the song ranges from seldom to rare and yet I was able to find the song. xD I don't know maybe it's in my fortune to find this promo mini-single of Eiko Shimamiya. Interested in the pics/scans contained on it? View it but please don't direct link it.

I was just browsing the Chinese I've Sound forum (since I can't post in Chinese) and then I found a thread with this file on and grabbed the opportunity of downloading it. xD The song itself is by Eiko Shimamiya (Music & Arrangement c/o of Kazuya Takase) and it is used as the opening theme for Higurashi no Naku Koro ni live-action movie which will be released this year 2008 (but I still don't know the exact date). I also don't know the release of the Wheel of Fortune single, and Diorama, the ending theme has still no short version so I'll expect that this single will be out after a couple of months.

I like the entrance of the song as it fills the background with the heavy electric guitars just like JOINT, and Real Onigokko. Sounds a little tragic and sad, it's not as epic grandeur like Naraku no Hana but this may grow on me as I listen to it. I hope I'll be able to find some preview for Diorama as well. xD
