Kyaah! I'm late for this Sachi Tainaka news! o_O

ZOMG!! I'm so late with the news!!! o_O Why didn't I look up when I had the time. Gomen nasai, Sachi-chan! T__T

But anyway, just wanted to share that Sachi-chan will actually release her 10th single (finally!) next week, August 26, 2009 together w/ the other releases I'm waiting for! Gyaaah~ it's been a while since you've released a single, really. It's almost a year after your release w/ Mata Ashita ne/code.

Btw, here's the details of the single:

運命人 (Unmeibito, lit. Destined Person)
Sachi Tainaka 10th single
GNCX-0017
2009.08.26 OUT

1. 運命人
2. RE:TRAIN
3. 運命人 (instrumental)
4. RE:TRAIN (instrumental)

My comment on the song? It's sounds pretty good than her previous releases, I'd say. Although it's sounding pretty poppish but as long as it's good, I'm good with it as well. And the single cover -- it's a totally different image, really. I was kinda shocked! But I'm glad the BoA-look-a-like was already gone. o_o

And don't think the news is finished! After 3 weeks, Sachi will also release her 3rd album!!! Here's the details:

Destiny
Sachi Tainaka 3rd Album
GNCX-1007~8
2009.09.16 OUT

01 運命人 (Unmeibito)
02 さよならを言えばいいのに (Sayonara wo Ieba ii no ni)
03 誰にも言えない気持ち (Dare ni mo Ienai Kimochi)
04 夕映えのシネマ (Yuubae no Cinema)
05 守りたいもの (Mamoritai Mono)
06 もう キスされちゃった (Mou Kiss Sarechatta)
07 My HERO
08 code
09 Orange
10 また明日ね (Mata Ashita ne)

First Press Edition will also come w/ a 16-page mini-photobook!

I like the CD+DVD edition cover (2nd pic) because it's a bit "seductive" while the CD-only was kind of a mishap. o_o But the tracklisting looks a bit generic -- probably will contain some of her everlasting ballads, as usual -- but it's already a trademark from her because she works better with ballads but I hope not too generic ones. ;)

[2008.07.23] Sachi Tainaka - Mou Kiss Sarechatta single review

As much as I know I haven't made a review on this one. Listening to "Nettaiya", one of the single's B-side song, sort of, inspired me to do one. Although it's already late. XDD

But this update, it's never going to be late but *whispers* Sachi Tainaka will be having her 9th single released on October 22, 2008. As of now, there is still no title but this sure is good news *end whispering*

Mou Kiss Sarechatta is Sachi Tainaka's 8th single released on July 23, 2008 under Sistus Records, of course. Yes, I was, as usual, about this because it will be a new non-album single after her sloppy Visit of love. And this is her first cover single (The title track and the other B-side, Ai ga Areba Daijoubu are both Koumi Hirose cover song) to begin with so I think it'll be something a bit big (bigger than Visit of love but not as big as her successful disillusion). The single itself peaked at #58 in the Oricon weekly and charted 2 weeks so I'm not assuming it even reached 4,000 copies sold.

Tracklisting:

  1. Mou Kiss Sarechatta (4:59)
  2. Nettaiya (4:48)
  3. Ai ga Areba Daijoubu (5:26)
  4. Mou Kiss Sarechatta -instrumental- (4:58)
  5. Nettaiya -instrumental- (4:46)
Hell yeah, this girl needs some rock so this single really "fulfilled" the need for it... Not until I heard the full version of the song in her main website. I gasped and said "oh-oh..." (again) because it's indeed rock-ish and cheerful but if not bland like Lipstick, this one is too saccharine for my taste... Even the title itself is saccharine, You've Kissed Me Too Much or so... But the percussion and the arrangement itself is good -- not bad but there comes a part that made it too sweety and bland that it sounded a bit like Lipstick. As much as I don't want to say this but this first cover song is a disappointment because it doesn't even portray the singer's persona. Well that's for me. She's not sweet in song writing but rather inspirational... And that's much better than just being plain sweet.

But on the other side of this single, comes Nettaiya (Tropical Night) which is the asset of this single. FYI, this is the only original song in the single which means Sachi Tainaka can really stand on her own feet that she doesn't really need to cover any original songs in the future. If only she could come up with songs like this in her future releases, it will be one of her best performance. Much more poppish but it's more exotic in melody and beat. You can feel the melancholic emotions expressed by Tainaka on this song. I may not know the meaning but I can sense it just by hearing this song. May be generic on other people but how Tainaka expressed and sang this piece with her vocals is much more distinct which makes it real different from her other songs. And is indeed tropical because it's "light-hearted" just like what I always express on some other songs. Piano, guitars and simple percussions are the instruments used on this song but it overtakes the supposed-to-be powerful A-side cover song.

Ai ga Areba Daijoubu must be one of the most boring song she ever pulled that it didn't really suit my taste. An acoustic performance much similar to her previous B-side song With ~Harunatsu Akifuyu but the latter was much much more memorable and uplifting. It's not even comparable to her most powerful ballad Ichiban Boshi (which I appreciate more right now than when I made the review for the said single). If you think Nettaiya was generic, much more on this one that's why sometimes I just pretend this one never appeared on my playlist. I'm not saying much on this one because I don't really hate this but I'm not liking it even one bit.

Overall, 3/5.

Mou Kisu Sarechatta

sentiment: excited
harmony: "Saikou no Kataomoi" by Sachi Tainaka

Just right now, I was browsing at Amazon if MELL's debut album MELLSCOPE (what a dopey title for an album isn't it?) and RYTHEM's 16th single Love Call/Akari no Arika to look if it has released its single cover but to no avail... But the good news is, Sachi Tainaka's 8th single Mou Kisu Sarechatta has released its single cover! Take a look at here! It's courtesy of Amazon, as usual. xD

Simple yet distinct and nice cover again, isn't it? It's one of the nicest cover she pulled out ever since Aitai yo./Kimi to no Asu because both Lipstick/Ichiban Boshi single and Love is... album are both reminiscent of the famous J-pop singer, BoA IMO. I didn't like the Visit of love single much either. At least here, with the change on her look, I could say this could be an amazing one!! I hope this will be rock this time... Not a generic and a little bland Lipstick I hope... =_= Her hair is very beautiful and so... soft to touch. xD even though I haven't touched it! More information aside from it's release date on July 23,

Tracklisting:

  1. Mou Kisu Sarechatta

  2. [untitled]
  3. Ai ga Areba Daijoubu (according to jpopmusic.com, it's a cover song for Hirose Koumi's debut single and I have to take note, this is the first time that she revived a song.)
  4. Mou Kisu Sarechatta -instrumental-
  5. [untitled] -instrumental-
Well, that's about it for now. There's no other info about the single but according to Oricon, she will release a DVD 2 weeks after this single which is TAINAKA SACHI LIVE 2008 ~Love is...~

My Personality Type

sentiment: kinda bored
harmony: "Time heals all sorrows" by Kotoko

My personality type: the independent thinker

Got this from Urumi-chan's blog. It's been a while since I've taken an online quiz nee? I just got curious of what personality type I have. xD And what do you know, I'm an independent thinker (IT)?! Yes the explanation there are 80-90% me but I can't believe that I'm independent...

Ahh I miss Sachi Tainaka... xD Oh and speaking of her, I updated her page in Wiki since I learned that she will have her 8th single entitled Mou Kisu Sarechatta released on the 23rd of July... Oh that date... It's also the release date of Rythem's 16th and first double-A side single entitled Love Call/Akari no Arika. None of these singles has released their single covers as of now, and I'm excited to grab them... xD *can't wait*

Visit of love - single review

sentiment: a bit sleepy
harmony: "DROWNING" by MOMO

Visit of love single review

No good! I'm gonna fall fast asleep again and I'm feeling it now. *yawns* So bored so I'm just going to make a review before I go to slumber proper.

Visit of love is the 7th single of the J-pop singer Sachi Tainaka under the Sistus Records label. And yes I just notice that Sistus people like to release album after 3 single releases and releasing it exactly two weeks after the release of latest single. *is not connected but it's an observation* As always, I'm not just making reviews and stuffs. xD Anyway, the title track was used as a theme song for some entertainment channel in Japan called "Prin-ce" and I don't have any idea what program is that. Overall, this is Tainaka's 2nd single tie-in with both Prin-ce and PERSONA respectively with the B-side With ~Harunatsu Akifuyu used as an insert song for the latter since her previous single Lipstick/Ichiban Boshi was also used for both.

Tracklisting:

  1. Visit of love (4:23)
  2. With ~Harunatsu Akifuyu (4:34)
  3. Visit of love -instrumental-
  4. With ~Harunatsu Akifuyu -instrumental-

And now going on to the critic proper, but you know what I'm going to say first? I'm not that much impressed with this single... Nothing much interested and I prefer Lipstick/Ichiban Boshi single more than this. Aitai yo./Kimi to no Ashita was even more phenomenal and exuberant even without the Fate/stay night tie-in.

Visit of love is something very experimental for Sachi. I couldn't felt the "Sachi Tainaka" that I have known with this song. It's so differently different and definitely not that memorable. I'd prefer Kirameku Namida wa Hoshi ni over this even though I didn't really like this song (and it happened to be her most successful single to date! Talk about uncommon tastes. 0.o) Low and weird synths as well. With some bits of jazz with the trumpets (like in Lipstick) but not too loud and has a very low aura which makes it not very special. Ranges from low-medium beat and I can't imagine how the dancers (in the PV) could dance such song. But despite all of this, I can still appreciate her voice because it is powerful as ever but not as powerful with Saikou no Kataomoi. And another thing, voice is powerful but is not much coordinated with the song. I mean Sachi could have done a better song than this and it really makes me want to freak out! Yes, for the first time! I appreciate despised a song from her!

With ~Harunatsu Akifuyu (eng. With ~Spring Summer Autumn Winter) is another ballad again but this time, it's very different from any of her power ballad. Instead of piano only, there is also guitar which makes it half-acoustic. IMO, this is more interesting than the first song although this is the B-side. o_o Not as dramatic and emotional than Ichiban Boshi, this light ballad is more likeable because it is simple at its best. This type of song when combined with Sachi's power vocals, it makes a more comfortable ambiance to your surroundings. Much much more relaxing and "down-to-earth" if I should say it.

Overall, I rate it 3.5/5. I can't comment anymore but I'll look forward to Love is.... I hope the new songs are much more win. ^_^

*more yawns* I'm really getting sleepy. Oh well it's already 2:47am here in my watch so I'd better doze off to lalala-land so I could wake up with no difficulty later nee?

Sachi updates

sentiment: tempted to post (again)
harmony: "Do You Crash?" by Bonnie Pink

Kyaah! I know I shouldn't be doing this. xD It's already 4:30 am and I had only 2 hours of sleep as of now but I just can resist to tap the keyboards and search for more about Sachi Tainaka. As you know, it's already January 23, 2008 here and I was searching for more info about her latest single Visit of love which will released today and her upcoming 2nd album Love is.... And if I remember correctly, the cover that I posted here was not the limited edition cover but the DVD one. And so here it is, courtesy of amazon again. xD

Love is... limited edition album cover

And yes, she resembles BoA a lot here. o_o And this is a much prettier album cover than the DVD cover but both are real pretty. Some of the tracklisting have been revealed.

The first track will be the uber dramatic mushy Itoshii hito e. IMO, not a very good choice of first track because it should be something entertaining and amusing not downlifting.

Second track will be Lipstick, which should be on the first track, I'd say.

Third track is a new song called Sayonara, and I'm assuming this will be a ballad because of the title.

Next track is the another uber cheesy dramatic Ichiban Boshi.

Fifth track will be the latest song Visit of love which is a fairly upbeat song but not too delightful and memorable. I just heard the long version from the PV when I watched it awhile ago at Dailymotion. I'd still prefer Aitai yo anytime because IMO, the latter single was a much stronger one even without the Fate/stay night tie-in with the other song Kimi to no Ashita. It rather moved my heart rather than just a lighter upbeat like Visit of love. But I'm still looking forward to the B-side.

Other tracks have not been revealed but according to amazon's information, the said album will be having 12 songs all in all. And I'll be looking forward to them all.

Another side comment, with the not-very-much delighting Visit of love, I don't think it'll be a single that'll reach top30 in the Oricon charts next week but who knows? I'm not closing my doors to other possibilities but the chance of said accomplishment will be 20-80, IMO.

Another batch of nice covers

sentiment: still cramming... xP *but I just can't get off my hands here*
harmony: "I'm Alive" by Ayana

Well... here I go again for cramming! xD But promise I'll make this fast... I'm just going to post these lovely single & album covers from Sachi Tainaka. xD

Love is... Regular+DVD album cover

^ This one is the album cover for the DVD of Love is...
(I'm not sure if the regular and the DVD version of the album has the same covers so I'll be specific)

Visit of love single cover

I know you've seen this before but now, I have now a higher resolution of the single cover for Sachi Tainaka's Visit of love. Her unique smile makes it more lovely than in her Lipstick/Ichiban Boshi single cover.

Well that's about it. I just got the chance to find the Love is... cover but the traclisting is yet to be available. x_X Next time! (again, as usual!) XD Again, the covers are courtesy of Amazon. Thank them! xD *I thank you*
